Teshie Homowo Beauty Pageant

The Miss Teshie Homowo Beauty Pageant also known as Teshie Oblantai-aMannye Akanshii is an exclusive GaDangme Programme. The Pageant was instituted by Gbɛtsɔɔlɔ Nii Ashitey Akomfra III as part of the rebranded Teshie Homowo Programme of Activities.

The Pageant is designed to unearth a talented young and dynamic GaDangme lady of between 18 – 25 years of age to act as youth ambassador to the Teshie Mantse Palace. However, the ultimate goal of the Pageant is to develop and nurture a cadre of role-models capable of stepping into high-profile leadership positions in Ghana. The ideal Oblantai-a-Mannye must be beautiful, charming and personable, every Miss Teshie Homowo is expected to have mastery over her indigenous GaDangme mother-tongue and culture. She must also be well-groomed, poised and exuding self-confident; and above all she must have the character, humility and inner beauty that set her apart as the first among her equals.

The 2nd Miss Teshie Beauty Pageant was held at the Teshie Salem Square on 13th September, 2018 under the theme: First in Beauty, Best in Substance. The event featured 7 contestants namely, Naa Okaikor, Naa Dzagble, Naa Amerley, Naa Oweni, Naa Adzorkor, Naa Okaikor and Naa Kuokor. Naa Adzorkor emerged as the ultimate winner with Naa Kuokor and Naa Amerley as 1st and 2nd runner ups respectively.
