MUSLIM COMMUNITY OF TESHIE

I greet you all with the greetings of the people of Jannah (Heaven) As-Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu: it means peace be upon you and the mercy and blessings ofAllah.

On behalf of the Muslim community, we extend our heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the Teshie Traditional Council led by. Gbɛtsɔɔlɔ Nii Ashitey Akomfra (III) and entire Teshiemei as you celebrate this year festival of Homowo.

Homowo is a time of hooting at hunger, joy, reflection, and thanksgiving. It is a celebration of resilience, unity, and the rich cultural heritage that binds the Teshie communities. We recognize and honour the significance of this festival, which commemorates the overcoming of famine and the blessings of a bountiful harvest.

In these times, it is more important than ever to stand together in solidarity, respect, and mutual support. Our shared values of peace, unity, and community harmony guide us in fostering a society where all cultures and traditions are celebrated and cherished.

As we mark this auspicious occasion with traditional rituals, feasting, and communal activities, we join you in spirit and wish you a joyous and blessed celebration. May the spirit of Homowo bring prosperity, health, and happiness to every household.

We pray for continuing peace and understanding among all communities and for the strength to face challenges together with courage and unity.

Happy Homowo
